As good as bread

A charity project for Pane Quotidiano Onlus

5 December 2018 - 13 January 2019 at the Triennale di Milano

The Triennale di Milano, on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the association Pane Quotidiano Onlus, presents the exhibition Buoni come il Pane: a multifaceted interpretation of bread by important designers, artists, chefs, writers and a famous photographer. Bread is interpreted as an emblem of sociality, an element of great symbolic value that expresses tradition, art, craftsmanship, sharing and a spirit of communion. Twenty internationally renowned Italian artists and designers and ten famous chefs have created thirty new, unexpected breads.

On display will be both the ceramic versions, made possible thanks to the support of Bosa Ceramiche, and their edible versions.

Ten writers donated a short text on bread and Oliviero Toscani proposed an emblematic image of it. During the charity gala dinner on December 4, the sculptures, signed by the authors, will be assigned with a lottery to those who have purchased the tickets numbered, on sale from September.

The proceeds will go entirely to Pane Quotidiano Onlus, the Milanese association that provides free food every day to the poorest sections of the population, distributing food and comfort goods.

The exhibition will be set up thanks to the support of ArcelorMittal CLN and Scaffsystem.
